Summer Night Concert 2025
We are delighted that Maestro Tugan Sokhiev will be conducting the concert for the first time and that opera singer Piotr Beczała will be the soloist. He will sing three arias – from Georges Bizet’s Carmen, Giacomo Puccini’s Turandot and Emmerich Kálmán’s operetta Countess Mariza. The Vienna Boys’ Choir will also be taking part in the Summer Night Concert for the first time.

A celebrity visit to Güstrow: the LJO performs with Anneleen Lenaerts, solo harpist with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Youth Orchestra and the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Youth Jazz Orchestra also take to the stages. And, of course, also the stages of the MV Festival. Cooperation with the local young ensembles is practically part of the DNA of the festival summer. These young ensembles are also sponsored by the State Music Council and are groups of instrumentalists who come together on a project basis from all corners of the region, work on their repertoire in intensive rehearsal phases, absorb the knowledge and skills of renowned professionals in workshops and make music together with them. However, there is an age limit here: 21 or 26 is the cut-off age.
